Interviewing & Recruitment Skills Training Course
Objective
To provide participants with the relevant recruitment skills and know-how to select suitable candidates to join their team.
Topics
- Understanding the necessary legislation
(e.g. discrimination and equal opportunities acts).
- Becoming aware of and overcoming personal bias
when recruiting new staff, so all candidates are treated fairly.
- Reviewing CVs and selecting candidates for interview.
- Preparing for and conducting interviews.
- Putting the candidate at their ease.
- Providing and drawing out information through effective questioning skills.
- Listening for and dealing with incongruences.
- Working with HR guidelines and procedures.
- Closing the interview.
Course style
Very participatory, providing a sound grounding in the necessary skills. Theory and practical work is involved including conducting interviews and video playback. Discussion and personal coaching will be given by the trainer to ensure all can apply the material.
Learning methods will be drawn from Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) and Accelerated Learning (AL) to create a stimulating and memorable event.
Outcomes
Participants will benefit from enhanced recruitment skills and know-how enabling them to play a confident and effective role in selecting new staff.
